There are different ways to help you prevent stress easily, the following are some techniques that you might want to try .

1- don’t work at home
As soon as you get off work you need to stop worrying about anything that has to do with work . turn off your phone or avoid any work related issues . this will help you relax ad charge your energy or clear your mind for another day at work the next day , this will also give you more time to spend with friends or family or simply doing the things you love

We all have heard before that we should drink eight glasses of water a day. That number is commonly recommended but there is little science behind this specific rule but it is important to stay hydrated. Your body is about 70% water, the majority of your blood and every cell in your body is composed of water. Therefore, you need water to function properly. You can know if you are well-hydrated or not by looking in the toilet. If your urine is clear or very pale that means you have good hydration. But if it is a brighter yellow or amber color, you should probably need to drink more water. The following are five benefits of drinking lots of water.

1. Water helps your kidney: Kidneys flush waste from your body in the form of urine and they need enough water to be able to clean and rid your body of toxins. When you are not getting enough fluids, it could be harder for kidneys to do their job, urine concentration, and a hard mineral can form and cause kidney stones.

2. Water May help prevent a headache: When your body doesn’t have the fluids it needs, it can’t transfer important nutrients as easily, and a headache is an alarming sign. Many studies have shown that water can relieve headaches in those who are dehydrated. However, this appears to depend on the type of a headache. One study of 18 people found that water had no effect on the frequency of headaches, but did reduce the intensity and duration somewhat.

3. Water can help prevent and relief constipation: All your body cells require water, so when your body is lacking hydration in one area you could find it harder to pass a stool because the colon pulls water from stools to maintain hydration. Adequate hydration keeps flowing along your gastrointestinal tract and prevents constipation.

4. Your skin will glow: Your skin cells contain plenty of water and act as a protective barrier to prevent excess fluid loss. When your skin cells aren’t getting the water they need, your skin will start to look more dry and wrinkled. But proper hydration will make your skin look more lustrous and glowing.

5. Water helps energize muscles: Muscles need a good balance of fluids and electrolytes shrivel to function properly. If you are not getting enough water, electrolytes can’t exchange as easily, and the muscles can lose plumpness and be more prone to cramping. Drinking eight ounces of water before physical activity to stay hydrated.

Having a bad cold is indeed an annoying thing but the worst part about it is that there is no known cure for the common cold or flu. Although nothing can cure a cold, there are some cold remedies that might help ease your symptoms and keep you from feeling so miserable. Besides getting enough rest, the following cold remedies might help you feel better.

1. Echinacea

The herb Echinacea has long been used to treat cold symptoms by Native Americans. Studies about whether the herb echinacea shortness the duration of the common cold are a mixed bag. There is some debate as to what preparation of Echinacea is most effective, as some supplements use the juice of the plant while others use its root. A meta-analysis study performed at Connecticut University found that Echinacea pills reduced subjects’ chances of catching a cold by 50% and that it is effective in shortening the length of the cold. Although the science is not conclusive in terms of whether Echinacea is effective, it still a popular and widely used folk remedy in the USA.

2. Decongestants

Over-the-counter decongestants are recommended if you have mostly nasal symptoms- stuffy, runny, sneezy. They work by contracting the blood vessels in the nose and sinuses, shrinking the tissue and reducing blood flow. Choose a product that contains pseudoephedrine (like Sudafed). It is not permitted for people under 18 to buy medications that contain pseudoephedrine because it is a stimulant and is used illegally to make methamphetamines.

3. Ginseng

Ginseng is a very popular herbal supplements in the world that are used for many reasons. Some people use it to improve strength, and other take it to boost energy levels. Researchers have now linked this powerful herb to fighting cold symptoms. A Canadian study has found that consuming 550 mg of North American ginseng vastly reduced the severity and duration of the cold symptoms and it appeared to help prevent colds in some patients.

4. Chicken Soup:

Chicken soup is a popular go-to cold remedy because all the heat, salt, and water can help your body stay hydrated. Moreover, chicken soap contains the amino acid cysteine which is a powerful antiinflammation agent that helps to produce disease-fighting antibodies. No less than the National Institute for Health reported that chicken soup with vegetables can kill and stop the replenishing of viral cells. In addition, it stated that chicken soup may have an anti-inflammatory response in the throat and upper respiratory tract.

The human body is very complex collection of numerous biological cycles and systems that regular people don’t often fully understand. Our bodies have a set of defense mechanisms which constitute different systems. They protect us from a whole number of things that could potentially harm us. There are some of our involuntary movements and functions that are really strange defense mechanisms for our bodies that we never knew about. Here are eight interesting things that your body does and that we might not even realize were ranked among those defense mechanisms.

1. Yawning: The main purpose of yawning is to allow the brain to cool down after an overwhelming amount of work that may have caused it to overload.

2. Sneezing: Sneezing is another defense mechanism that usually occurs when our nasal passages fill up with too many allergens, microbes, dust, and other irritants. Sneezing is the body’s way to get rid of all that trash.

3. Stretching: We instinctively stretch to prepare our bodies for expected physical loads. Stretching also works the muscles, restores blood flow, and improves our mood.

4. Hiccupping: Eating too fast, swallowing large bites of foods, or simply overeat, can cause our pneumogastric nerve to irritate. This is closely linked to the body’s stomach and diaphragm. So the hiccups show up as to protect our stomach and diaphragm.

5. Myoclonic jerks: This refers to the strange feeling when you lie down to go to sleep and as you starts to drift off your body is jolted for a second by what it resembles an electric shock. In this moment, all of your muscles spasm so strongly that you almost fall out of bed, and you immediately wake up. This phenomenon happens due to the fact that when you begin to fall asleep, the frequency of your breathing rapidly falls, while the pulse slows down only very slightly and your muscles are relaxed. Unbelievably, your brain interprets these developments as heralding death, so it tries to save you by giving you a jolt.

6. Wrinkling of the Skin: The wrinkles appear on the skin when the body realizes that the moisture around us increases, it understands that the environment might be slippery so it adapts through the wrinkling of the skin. This wrinkling makes it easier for you to grip smooth and slippery surfaces.

7. Loss of Memory: Loss of memory happens after the occurrence of painful experiences. Our brain
literally deletes the unpleasant encounters from our memories.

8. Goosebumps: It happens to reduce the amount of heat our bodies lose through the pores of our skin, which then makes it easier to warm ourselves in cold weather.

When we go shopping or buying food we usually find labels and ingredients on each item , some of these labels says that it contains artificial flavors while others claim they contain natural ones . what are the differences between both and which one is better ? read this article to find out .

What does it each flavor really mean ?

According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) Code of Federal Regulations (Title 21), natural flavors are made of sources that are edible like animals and vegetables for example ,on the contrary Artificial flavors, have inedible sources which can be almost everything around us .for instance a Japanese researcher Mayu Yamamoto found a way to extract vanillin which is used for vanilla from cow stool in 2006, as mentioned by Business Insider.

But its important to know that manufacturers found a way to make Natural and artificial flavors in the same way using edible and non-edible sources .For instance the lemon flavor which is found in lemon can be made artificially from petrochemicals which are as harmless as lemon and you won’t be able to tell the difference. In other words natural flavors are not always the best for you .

There is no evidence to support the idea that natural flavors are healthier than artificial ones .Gary Reineccius, Professor of Food Science and Nutrition at the University of Minnesota, explains that there is no need to worry about the health benefits as a flavor whether its natural or artificial will not add any benefit to your health “There is no intrinsic nutritional value in flavor.” So whether it’s artificial or natural, there is no nutritional difference, according to the professor.

But how can you know more about the ingredients while shopping ? how can you tell which item to pick ?
Food manufacturers don’t include all the ingredients nor the flavors on the labels as this will be in the hand of their competitors, moreover its known that the list of flavors is too long that they wont fit on a food package and if they did there will be so much derivatives that no one would be interested to read about , this will also add to the cost of the packaging which will increase the price of the food item itself .

The harmful bacteria Clostridium difficile spreads not only in hospitals but also in other health-care-settings, causing infection and death rates to hit “historic highs,” U.S. health officials reported Tuesday.“ C. difficile is a deadly diarrheal infection that represents a significant danger to U.S. health care patients,” Ileana Arias, principal deputy director at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, said during a morning information convention. “C. difficile is inflicting many Americans to endure and die.”

The germ is linked to about 14,000 deaths in the United States ever year. People most at danger from C. difficile are those who take antibiotics and also get care in any medical facility. “This failure is more hard to accept because these are treatable, regularly preventable deaths,” Arias mentioned. “We know what can be done to do a greater job to ensure our patients.” Much of the growth of this bacterial epidemic has been as because of the overuse of antibiotics, the CDC noted in its March 6 report. Unlike healthy individuals, individuals in poor health are at greater hazard for C. difficile infection.

Almost 50% of infections are among people beneath 65, but more than 90% of deaths are among people who are aged 65 and older, according to the report.

Previous estimates found that about 337,000 people are hospitalized yearly in view of C. difficle infections. Those are generally excessive ranges and add at least $1 billion in extra costs to the well-being care system, the CDC said.

However, these estimates may not totally reflect C. difficile’s general impact. According to the new report, 94% of C. difficile infections are associated to medical care, with 25% among hospital sufferers and 75% among nursing house sufferers or individuals lately seen in doctors’ offices and clinics.

Although the proportion of infection is lowest in hospitals, they are at the core of prevention because many contaminated patients are taken to hospitals for care, increasing the danger of spreading the infection there, the CDC mentioned.

Half of those with C. difficile infections were already contaminated when they were admitted to the hospital, regularly after getting care at another facility, the agency mentioned. The other 50% of infections had been related to care at the hospital where the infections were identified.

The CDC said that these infections could be diminished if health care staff follows simple infection management control like prescribing fewer antibiotics, washing their hands all the more frequently, and secluding infected patients.

Traumatic events may affect the brains of boys and girls in a different way, a new study finds. In the study, compared with boys from the control group, the anterior circular sulcus was larger in volume and surface area in the traumatized boys. But the volume and surface area of the same brain region was smaller in traumatized girls, compared with control girls.

The region is associated with emotional awareness and empathy, the researchers mentioned. The scientists said they were surprised to see that “the boys and girls were so clearly on different ends of the spectrum,” said Megan Klabunde, the lead author of the study and a psychologist and neuroscience researcher at Stanford University School of Medicine.

In the study, the researchers scanned the brains of 59 children ages 9 to 17, using a type of scan called structural magnetic resonance imaging (sMRI). Of the participants, there were 30 participants (14 girls and 16 boys) that had symptoms of trauma, such as mood changes, and mentally reliving their traumatic events. The remaining 29 participants had not experienced trauma (15 girls and 14 boys) and were used as the control group.

Once the MRI scans were analyzed, the researchers compared the size of the anterior circular sulcus, located within a brain region called the insula, which plays a role in people’s emotions, awareness, and empathy. There were no differences found between the girl’s and boy’s brains in the control group. However, in the trauma group, significant differences were uncovered.

“The insula appears to play a main role in the development of PTSD. The difference we saw between the brains of boys and girls who have experienced psychological trauma is important because it may help explain differences in trauma symptoms between sexes.” Megan Klabunde, the study’s lead author, believes that the results demonstrate the importance of a gender-specific approach to treating PTSD. She says that if brain changes are different in the sexes, “it is possible that boys and girls could exhibit different trauma symptoms and that they might benefit from different approaches to treatment.”
Future studies may shed some light on how trauma affects other brain structures related to empathy, and whether these effects also show gender differences, the researchers said.

Additionally, further research may also help scientists determine whether these physical differences in the brain, in turn, lead to behavioral differences between boys and girls, the scientists said. Such research could help psychiatrists develop gender-specific treatments for boys and girls who have suffered traumatic events, the researchers said.

Stress, trauma, and unexpected live developments that can make many people suffer emotionally and mentally. One of the ways that can make people copes with the emotional fallout of stressful or traumatic life experiences is the expressive writing about thoughts and feelings that arise from such events.

Dr. James W. Pennebaker, currently chair of the psychology department at the University of Texas, Austin, has conducted much of the research on the health benefits of expressive writing. In an early study, Dr. Pennebaker asked 46 healthy college students to write about personally traumatic life events or trivial topics for 15 minutes on four consecutive days. After six months of doing this experiment, compared with students who wrote about inconsequential topics, those who wrote about traumatic events visited the campus health center less often and used a pain reliever less frequently.

Most studies have evaluated the impact of expressive writing on people with physical health conditions such as sleep apnea, asthma, migraine headaches, rheumatoid arthritis, HIV, and cancer. Also, most of the results measured are physical, and the findings — such as blood pressure and heart rate — suggest that expressive writing initially may annoy people but eventually helps them to relax.

Recently, researchers have evaluated if expressive writing helps reduce stress and anxiety. A study found that this technique benefited chronically stressed caregivers of older adults. And a study by researchers at the University of Chicago found that anxious test-takers who wrote briefly about their thoughts and feelings before taking an important exam earned better grades than those who did not.

Participants usually write non-stop while exploring their deepest thoughts and feelings without inhibition (and that is why writing samples remain confidential). They may also use the exercise to understand how the traumatic event may revive memories of other stressful events.

According to this theory, people who had suppressed a traumatic memory might learn to overcome the experience once they expressed their emotions about it. But it is not the only benefit of expressive writing.

The act of thinking about an experience and expressing thoughts about it is important because writing helps people to organize thoughts and give a meaning of a traumatic experience.
Or the process of writing may make them able to learn to better regulate their emotions. It’s also possible that writing about something fosters an intellectual process helps someone break free of the endless mental cycling more typical of brooding or rumination.

Finally, when people open up privately about a traumatic event, they are more likely to talk with others about it — suggesting that writing leads indirectly to contact with social support that can aid healing.

Yellow fever virus (YFV) is an acute viral hemorrhagic disease transmitted by infected mosquitoes. The “yellow” in the name refers to the jaundice that affects some patients. Vector-borne transmission occurs via the bite of an infected mosquito, primarily Aedes or Haemagogus spp. Large epidemics of yellow fever occur when infected people introduce the virus into heavily populated areas with high mosquito density and where most people have weak or no immunity, due to lack of vaccination.

In these conditions, infected mosquitoes transmit the virus from person to another. Humans infected with YFV experience the highest levels of viremia and can transmit the virus to mosquitoes shortly before the onset of fever and for the first 3–5 days of illness. Given the high level of viremia, bloodborne transmission theoretically can occur via transfusion or needlesticks.

Symptoms:
Asymptomatic or clinically inapparent infection is believed to occur in most people infected with YFV. For people who develop symptoms, the incubation period is typically 3–6 days. The most common symptoms some people experience are fever, muscle pain with a prominent backache, headache, loss of appetite, and nausea or vomiting. In most cases, these symptoms usually improve and are gone within several days.

But approximately 15% of patients enter a more toxic form of the disease within 24 hours of recovering from initial symptoms. In this phase, people are likely to develop jaundice, dark urine and abdominal pain with vomiting. Bleeding can occur from the mouth, nose, eyes or stomach. Almost 50% of patients who enter the toxic phase die within 7-10 days.

Treatment:
There is currently no specific drug to treat yellow fever; treatment is directed at symptomatic relief or life-saving interventions. However, specific care is taken to treat dehydration, liver, and kidney failure, aching and symptoms of fever. Good and early supportive treatment in hospitals improves survival rates. Infected people should be protected from further mosquito exposure during first few days of illness in order to not contribute to the transmission cycle.

Vaccination:
Vaccination is the most effective way to prevent yellow fever. In high-risk areas where vaccination is low, it is critical to use mass immunization for controlling of outbreaks and preventing epidemics. It is important to vaccinate most of the population at risk to prevent transmission in a region where is a yellow fever outbreak. The yellow fever vaccine is safe and affordable and a single dose provides life-long protection against yellow fever disease.

Bad breath is an embarrassing problem that happens to everyone at times. There are many reasons that can cause bad breath such as eating foods high in protein, sugar, or acid, smoking, illness and tooth decay. In addition to the great effect of regular dentist visits and proper oral hygiene in keeping your mouth healthy, there are other things that can help fight off bad breath. Here are the things you should do to avoid having bad breath:

– Floss your teeth and brush them every day as they are two critical steps you should take to ward off bad breath. According to American Dental Association, food particles can linger in your mouth if you neglect to brush and floss them and this can cause bad breath. Flossing should be an essential part of your daily oral care because it cuts down on plaque, bacteria, and odor-causing food particles. It is recommended to floss your teeth after each meal.

– Clean your tongue as it can be a source of bad smells. Halitosis-causing compounds form on your tongue and in your mouth when bacteria and amino acids combine, emitting an unpleasant sulfur-like smell. Thus, cleaning your tongue regularly can help a lot in fighting halitosis.

– Dry mouth is a problem that can cause bad breathe or make bad breath worth. So it is important to drink lots of water as it helps promote saliva which cleanses the mouth and eliminates the stink-causing substances in food. Staying hydrated is important particularly before and after practicing heavy exercise because rapid breath can increase dry mouth.

– Smoking is one of the reasons that can cause bad breath as it causes the smoker’s breath to retain the smells of stale tobacco smoke. Moreover, smoking stains your teeth and can irritate your gums. Therefore, quit smoking to maintain a healthier mouth.

– Avoid eating raw garlic or onion because when they ingested and excreted by the lungs, they cause halitosis. It is better to cook them before eating to avoid their odor that sticks to your mouth and lasts for hours. Also avoiding eating acidic foods or high fructose foods can help in preventing bad breath because both of them increase production of bacteria and bad breath.

– Using a mouthwash is a good temporary solution for bad breath since it reduces plaque and gingivitis and freshens breath.

Diet isn’t just about losing weight; it’s more about losing bad habits and bad foods. It’s your life style for which you should put a good plan; a plan that fits your body needs in healthy ways.

Before talking about more details about what the healthy diet should look like, let me first tell you an important trick, start the healthy change from your mind, think of the healthy foods as the one who saves you from many risks and don’t let the feeling of punishment gets you. Think about quitting the bad foods and habits as a reward you give to your health and your body.

Love the healthy foods and trust me they are so delicious even more than the fast foods, it’s all about what you convince yourself of, maybe you have the wrong idea about healthy foods and it’s time to change it.

Ok, now let’s find out what is the healthy diet and how can you achieve it; the healthy diet or the healthy life style depends on some factors and the main factor is food. The healthy diet starts from eating the right kinds of foods that is full of beneficial nutrition, kinds like, whole grains, fresh vegetables, fresh fruits, healthy fats, carbohydrates, diary products, foods that is rich with protein like meat and fish, nuts and all the healthy foods that comes to your mind.

Each item of the above list consists of another long list of different food kinds, but be sure that these foods will defiantly be the best choice you make; they will give your body all the vitamin, minerals, protection and power that your body needs to live healthy. Like I said before the healthy diet depend on some factors, eating health food is the main one, but it’s not the only one.

Changing some habits will also be part of the healthy changing process. Am talking here about doing exercises, I know you don’t have enough time to do it, but you can try simple ones like, morning running, walking with your dog or even moving around in your home. Trust me exercises is very important, it will flush all the toxins out, keep you healthy, active and fresh.

Doing exercises won’t be the only thing besides healthy food; water should be a major part of your life to call it a healthy one, drink about 6 to 8 glasses daily, it will make your digestions much easier, keep you hydrated and that is good for your skin if you look for some solution for dry skin and like exercises, water will flush the toxins out of your body too.

Last, but not least, forget about the stress, think for a minute what would you gain from being angry, worried or sad; nothing will change if you let theses negative feeling get you and yes these things aren’t healthy at all and may affect your health in bad ways. Forget about all your problems, because nothing lasts forever, eventually everything will be okay, relax and get good and enough sleep about 6 to 8 hours. It’s okay if you take time till you make these healthy changes, just start and trust me things will be better.
Stay happy and healthy!

Eating healthy foods and following healthy habits is important for all ages, but kids needs some especial attention, because childhood stage is like the base, so mums and dads, you should take good care of building a good and healthy base.

Every kind of food will take care of a certain mission in your kid’s bodies, let’s start with diary products, they have an important mission in building your kid’s bones and keeping it strong. Your kid should drink two glasses of milk daily and milk isn’t the only dairy product as you all know, yogurt and chess also give good benefits to your kid’s body. These benefits are like enough levels of zinc, vitamin A, calcium and potassium that will help your little boy or girl to have better health.

Moving to another food kind that has a major mission, I am talking here about the great friendship between brain and sea food. As you all know that sea foods are rich with protein and the amazing omega 3 which is the super star in the mission of building a good brain. You are free to choose the kind you like, but salmon is the best option because it has low level of mercury.

Kids love eggs and that is a good thing, egg is full of good benefits for your kid’s hair and muscles and you get the best of these benefits when you boil it. It would makes a very good part of your kid’s breakfast.

Looking for more protein sources? Meat is the answer, it’s so rich with protein that will help your kid’s body to be stronger, just make sure to choose the lean cuts. Grilled meat with baked potato would make an amazing lunch for your kid.

Vegetables and fruits, they hold uncountable magical benefits for your kid with all of their different kinds, starting from the different kinds of vegetables like spinach, broccoli and carrots to the different kinds of fruits like, orange, apple, peaches, banana and pineapple. Let these colorful, healthy and different kinds of fruits and vegetable be a main part of your kid’s food system.

The whole grain products aren’t less important than the previous food kinds, they are rich with fibers and complex carbohydrates, which is a good kind of carbohydrates by the way and as you all know that carbohydrates are an essential source of energy and who doesn’t look for good sources of energy for their kids! You can choose from many products like brown rice, oat, oatmeal and so many other kinds. Whole grain cereals would be a very good choice as a breakfast for your kid.

Food isn’t the only thing that will make your kid’s life a healthy one, but having enough sleeping hours and playing sports will make it much healthier. Make sure that your kid sleeps about 9 hours daily and support your kid in practicing the sport he or she likes like, swimming, soccer, tennis, basketball, football or any other sport he or she loves to practice.

We can’t deny the importance of all the previous information and it would be amazing to really make them part of your kid’s life, but let’s face the truth, kids love fried and fast foods like pizza and French fries more than the healthy foods I mentioned above, so what can you do about that?

Your kid will see the world through your eyes, so you are the main factor in this mission, you are doing your best, I know, but maybe you are just doing it wrong. So, let me tell you some ideas that will help you to make your kid love eating the healthy foods. Start from the presentation, yes am serious, it would be harder for you, but it will give good results. For example, present the salad in funny shapes like smiling faces or trees and you will find thousand of ideas to make that one.

Kids love the way in which the restaurants presents the food in, so why don’t you try these ways too. Design some food packs just like the ones you see in restaurants, replace the soda with delicious fresh juice and put in one of these cups that comes with the fast meals. You can even buy some small toys and put it with the meal you cooked just like these restaurants do.

Most kids love athletics like soccer or football players, so why don’t you encourage them to eat healthy to be like those players! Another good idea would be sharing the cooking time with your kid, make the dangerous steps that include chopping and other stuff and give them the fun parts like dressing, it will be such a fun time and they will love to eat what they cooked for sure.

Make it a habit to eat all together on one table to enhance the relationship between each other and remember to end you kid’s day with telling them a story and that story could be about how they where good today and how much you are proud of them and let their day ends with your love.

Skipping meals isn’t the right choice if you are trying to live healthy or even if you trying to lose some weight. Make sure to have three healthy meals everyday, breakfast, lunch and dinner and we will talk here about how to eat a healthy and beneficial dinner. Most people skip this meal or don’t give it enough attention, but let me tell you something, having a healthy dinner will help you to avoid many problems like, feeling hungry at wrong times and for sure you know that eating at late times of the night isn’t a health habit.

The healthy dinner starts from depending on the healthy foods which means no fried potato, pizza or any of these harmful foods. I know you will say that these foods are easier and take no time, but that isn’t true, the truth is healthy foods take less time than these foods.

Chicken is a good option for dinner, imagine fried chicken with some brown rice besides and nice salad bowl, they would make a very delicious dinner, chicken is full of protein and it will make you feel full for longer times, brown rice is a healthy option unlike the white rice and salad is a long list of good benefits.

Egg is a good option as well if you look for a protein source. You know, salmon would be a good choice as well; it’s full of good fatty acid that holds a lot of healthy surprises to your body. Dairy products can take place in your dinner by drinking a glass of milk or eating chess or yogurt; just make sure to choose the low or the non fat products.

I have no time, I am so busy to do that, I have lots of things to take care of beside that, etc, I guess these words are what comes to your mind when you are told to eat healthy, yes you are right about all that, but every problem has several solutions and healthy food problem has easy ones that am about to tell you about.

Start from your weekend, take couple of hours before you go out with your family for a picnic and write down what you would like to cook this week. Choose some healthy foods and if you need some help you can search online for some healthy and easy recipes. Now, you know what you will exactly cook for the week, start writing a list of all the things that you will need, like vegetables, fruits, meats, etc.

Now take you car and visit the nearest super market or grocery shop, pick up your list and start making it true, yes imagine it like a healthy wish list, it will be fun trust me, you will feel so good when decide to take that healthy step.

When you buy the dairy milk products, make sure to go for the low or non fat products to get the best of them. When it comes to buying meat, make sure to buy lean meats and for healthier option, remember to remove the skin.

During your shopping, think about buying some healthy frozen foods like, steam in bag vegetables and pre marinated meats. These foods would be a great and easy choice for working people, simply you will put them out the freezer before you go to your work and when you come back it will be ready to be cooked in microwave or oven.

Ok, now you got all the foods you wrote in your list, when you go home start chopping all the vegetables you bought, put them in healthy containers and arrange the foods as you scheduled, I mean put the Sunday foods next to each other, you can even put a label on the containers to distinguish each day’s food from the other, so when you come back from your work you won’t have to search, all what you will do is to simply put the day’s food in the pan and it’s done.

Healthy food doesn’t become healthy just by choosing fresh vegetables and fruits, but by following the healthy cooking tips, so let me tell you some of them. For sure you know that adding too much sugar to foods isn’t something healthy for many reasons like putting on weight for example, but do you know that too much salt leads to the same problems? So please, do your best and avoid adding too much salt to your cook.

Replace the unhealthy cooking style like frying with healthier ones like, grilling and roasting. Use healthy oils like olive oil instead in cooking.

Do you usually find that you feel sluggish and sleepy no matter how much you sleep? Is staying alert and awake a challenge for you? And I don’t mean staying up late or suffering from some illness such as the flu and feeling sluggish the day after, because then feeling tired, sluggish and sleepy would be natural. What I mean is feeling sleepy and tired throughout the day even though sleep enough hours at night. In this case you might be suffering from EDS, Excessive Daytime Sleepiness.

EDS is a case in which you want to take many naps and sleep during the day even if you sleep regularly at night. Sometimes this sleep is too much that it is obstructing your life and interfering with your duties. Consulting a specialist in sleep disorders can help in the treatment of this case. Applying the following treatments may help as well.

1- Sleep enough at night. The number of hours you need to be having enough sleep differs from one person to another. Personally I only need 6 or a little bit more, and I hear that some people sleep 9 hours a night. What is important here is learning how much sleep you need rather than limiting yourself to a definite number of hours.

2- Prepare a sleep worthy environment in your bedroom. I have heard of people who turn their bedrooms into a workplace, a workout place, an entertainment zone and even a dining room. This can really disturb your sleep because your brain is no longer programmed to thinking that this is a place where almost every move of your body grounds to a halt. And this can make sleeping really difficult.

3- Make a habit of waking up at a certain hour. Again, we want to set a system for the brain to know when it is okay to sleep and when it isn’t. This way you won’t feel tempted to sleep at day. So, no matter what day of the week it is, a work day or a weekend you’ll wake up at a certain hour.

4- Also, make a habit of going to bed at the same day every day. Actually applying treatment number 3 won’t be easy without doing this. Setting a system for your body will be easier this way. If your body has enough hours of sleep every night and starts the recharging time at the same hour every night, getting rid of EDS will be easier.

Water is the essence of life. So, drinking no less than two liters of water a day is necessary, no vital. However, people find that drinking such a large amount of water – being the tasteless and odorless material it is – is difficult. But, drinking water does not necessarily mean that you have to force yourself to gulp up large amounts of water. You can drink your daily quota of water in different ways, and we will show you some of these ways in this article.

1- Slice Things Up. I always love how slices of fruits and vegetables look in water pitchers. I find them tempting and I feel like I could smell them while drinking the water. I am sure many people feel like I do. Slice fruits or vegetables and add them to your water containers.

2- Bubbles could help you in drinking more water. Sparkling water gives you the feeling that you are drinking soft drinks without their disadvantages. You can also flavor it by adding slices of fruit like we have just said. This way you will enjoy drinking your daily need of water.

3- Have a cup of tea. Tea of all varieties has many benefits. It is rich in antioxidants that fight inflammation and prevents cancer. It boosts blood flow and improves digestion. It fights cavities and plaque, and improves your overall dental health. Prepare yourself a cup of tea from time to time and enjoy your water with a load of health benefits.

4- Drink soup. You can also get your daily needs of water from soup instead of plain boring water. Soup is not just a healthy filling and hydrating meal, it can help you stay fit and healthy as the vegetables used to make it give you many of the nutrients you need without so many calories.

5- Use herbs. Add herbs and spices such as cinnamon, peppermint, ginger, anise, cardamom, turmeric, chamomile, sage, lemongrass, vanilla, nutmeg, cumin…etc. to flavor up your water. You can either add the herbs and drink them as they are or boil them. It is better to boil herbs if they are dry to benefit better from the extract herbs release into boiled water.

6- Drink fruits instead of eating them. You can make homemade fruit juice by putting any fruits you wish to eat – or rather drink – in your blender and adding some water. This way you will be both rehydrating and getting much of your daily needs of minerals and vitamins.

If you are lactose intolerant, then you must have experienced things such as gases, bloating, discomfort, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and other stomach disorder symptoms when eating dairy products.

Lactose intolerance should not be confused with allergy to lactose since allergy can be fatal while lactose intolerance never is and you can actually do certain things that can make it less annoying and more tolerable, such as:

1- Boil and drink ginger. Ginger has a potent effect in relieving stomach pain. This harmless natural ingredient is probably more powerful than most stomach pills you can find in any drugstore. Drinking boiled ginger can rid you of the aftermath you will get after eating dairy products as a lactose intolerant. Both powdered and fresh ginger are potent, but the fresher it is the most effective it will be.

2- Make sure you take those supplements and multivitamins. You might not feel it but, being lactose intolerant means you will be lacking some of the most vital nutrients. We could even say that you are risking osteoporosis, anemia and many other illnesses due to lactose intolerance since the nutrients needed for treating these disorders are found in large proportions in dairy products. So make sure you take multivitamins daily.

3- Some types of dairy products are good to go. Yes, there are actually many dairy products you can still eat, such as Swiss cheese and cheddar. Moreover, yogurt and kefir with live cultures is recommended since live cultures relieve your stomach and disintegrate lactose. Whole fat milk is recommended as well since the fat is rich in nutrients and can obstruct lactose absorption.

4- Not that milk, but the other milk. There are plant based milks such as soy milk, hemp milk, rice milk, coconut milk, almond milk and oat milk. These milks might not be as rich in nutrients as cow milk, but they are still healthy and good for your morning coffee.

5- Chamomile. This is another strategy for dealing with the aftermath of consuming milk rather than giving up dairy products altogether. Chamomile has a powerful soothing effect that can relieve any discomfort and disorders that result from consumption of dairy products.

What is a Heart? And No, I am not going to say something cliché like it is what you need to love or anything similarly stupid. A heart is the organ that makes sure that the oxygen needed for providing your body with energy, gets to all of your organs through the blood it pumps. Your heart muscle could be damaged and abused just like any other muscle. Here are some of the habits that can damage your heart and disturb its functionality:

1- Sleeping at irregular times and poor quality sleep. So, maybe you are a new mommy or a student preparing for a difficult exam, so your sleeping time and hours are being disturbed for a while. It is expected to have a little bit of unhealthy sleep. But if you are, however, irregularly sleeping all the time, your heart will pay the heavy toll. And for your information, a diseased heart is not the only thing you could expect with poor sleep quality.

2- Neglecting your dental health. Strange, isn’t it? What the hell does not brushing or flossing your teeth have to do with your heart? It turns out that poor dental health can lead to gum disease which can lead to heart problem.

3- Bad mood. If only those who complain about how hardships in their lives are bad for their hearts knew half of it… But, negative emotions such as anger, stress, anxiety, misery and depression can really damage your heart.

4- Neglecting health checkups. Some people seem to think that to have a problem, it is necessary to just drop where you are standing from severe pain. Well, you only reach that stage when it is too late, and until it happens, your body develops illnesses and damages for a long time. Visit your doctor regularly to make sure that your ticker is healthy.

5- Pollution. Why wouldn’t pollution be damaging your heart? If the air you breathe, the water you drink or the food you eat are polluted, wouldn’t the contaminating components be absorbed by your organs – including your heart – affect their work?

6- Smoking. You may consider it one point number 5, but we don’t want any misunderstanding. One of the worst habits one could follow is smoking, especially when it comes to heart health.

Cuts and grazes are minor wounds that happen when the very first layer of the skin get a scrape or a cut. Cuts and grazes happen to each and every one of us, men or women, young or old.

And although they are minor, they need to be treated immediately or they could get seriously infected. However, what to do if you do not happen to have a disinfectant at hand? You can first wash the grazed area well and then you can try some of the following treatments which you can find right in your pantry:

1- Honey. It is nature’s antibiotic. It also fights bacteria and viruses. Just rub the scraped area lightly with some honey and then bandage it. Or you can even leave it as it is if the cut isn’t somewhere that can be rubbed off by your clothes. Few hours after that, wash the scraped area and reapply the treatment. Believe me it won’t take as much as manufactured antibiotics do.

2- Garlic. Garlic is the second most powerful natural antibacterial and antifungal treatment. It cures, not only cuts and scrapes, but other skin problems like zits and acne as well, and in no time to boot. Once you get a scratch or have a cut, crush a few cloves of garlic, and put them on the cut and wrap with a bandage and leave it on for 15 minutes before removing the bandage and the garlic and washing the place off. You won’t believe your eyes at the results.

3- Aloe Vera. Not only does aloe Vera have antiviral and
antibacterial properties, but it has anti-inflammatory properties as well. Using aloe vera for treating cuts and grazes is easy. Just get a leaf of aloe vera plant, remove its skin and apply it to the cut.

4- Tea tree oil. Tea tree oil is a well-known antimicrobial agent. Many brand name companies include it in the making of their makeup cleansing solutions and cosmetics. To treat cuts and grazes with tea tree oil, all you need to do is to dilute a little bit of tea tree oil in a cup of water and wet a clean cloth with it, and use it to pat the infected area.

Different cultures differ in the methods they use for treating cuts and grazes with natural treatments. Share yours with us.

The itching, tingling, burning, painful, and cramping are the common symptoms of restless legs syndrome, especially if they are repetitive every evening or night. If you suffer from the restless leg syndrome, you may experience lower back pain and periodic limb movements while sleeping.

The mild of severe le pains and symptoms similar to that’s of restless leg syndrome can be a part of a medical problem in your body or a side effect to certain drugs; so, you should make periodical check-ups to avoid such serious problems. However, if such symptoms are not temporarily, you can use simple treatments and adjust your lifestyle to relief your legs. The first treatment is to avoid alcohol, nicotine, and caffeine completely, as they will worsen the problem.

The cool and warm packs in addition to the bathtub massage will relief your muscles and ease the symptoms of restless leg syndrome. The daily moderate exercises like leg stretches and short walks in addition to the Japanese sports such as yoga, tai, chi, and meditation will improve your general health and relief your leg pains.

You may need to change your lifestyle and stick to a firm sleeping schedule that will help you go to bed at the same time every night, relax, meditate, or read a book before sleeping, and get up at the same time every morning. Try to move your legs and change your position periodically, especially if you sit down several consecutive hours daily.

In case of severe and repeated leg pains, you should see a doctor or a health care professional to define the perfect medications for your case. You may need vitamin D, iron folic acid, vitamin B, and B12 supplements along with pain relievers such as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, dopamine agonists, and acetaminophen to ease the symptoms of restless leg syndrome. Actually, such medications will control the disorders of the disease, yet, you should deal with it as a lifelong condition that shouldn’t affect your normal life.

If you have a chronic disease, diabetes, heart conditions, kidney failure, nausea, iron deficiency, high blood pressure, or peripheral neuropathy, the symptoms of restless leg syndrome will be a normal side effect that needs a treatment to the original disease. If you experience the three last months of your pregnancy, try to relax your leg, but make sure that such symptoms will disappear up to a month after you give birth.

Your colon is one of the waste removal organs that contain about 100 trillion friendly bacteria. As a part of your digestive system, your colon is affected by the stress, lack of exercises, and the quality, type, and amount of your food then affects your overall health and peace of mind. This article will help you protect your colon and improve its performance perfectly.

If you already have problems with your colon, you should reduce the white sugar, white flour, alcohol, ice cream, cheese, and coffee from your daily diet. Try to avoid the categories of food your body has intolerance to, as they will enhance the likelihood of toxicities. Instead, you should have vegetables with large green leaves and high chlorophyll content such as spinach, wheatgrass, broccoli sprouts, barley grass, and blue-green algae.

Your food with high insoluble fiber will pass quickly and smoothly throughout your colon and hold moisture in your digestive tract. For this, you should eat plenty of fruits, nuts, vegetables, oats, flaxseeds, peas, citrus, strawberry, carrots, beets, and whole grain pasta, bread, and flour. Try to have up to 35 grams of fibers daily if you haven’t inflammatory bowel conditions.

Drinking water and thirst quenchers such as green tea, fruit juice, and lemon will prevent constipation and detoxify your colon. You should drink 13 cups of water as a man and 9 cups as a woman daily to detox your colon perfectly, but you can increase this amount when you increase fiber intake. The best time to drink water and cleanse your digestive system is 20 minutes before the breakfast or between the meals.

The beneficial bacteria like Bifidobacteria can resist the harmful microorganisms, prevent colon diseases, reduce toxins, extract vitamins from the remnants, and enhance the function of your immune system. To enhance the existence of such beneficial bacteria, you can simply eat fermented foods such as miso, yogurt, sauerkraut, and kefir.

In addition to such food categories, you should increase your daily quota of food rich with vitamin D and omega-3 such as fish, avocado, garlic, cereal, and milk. If you have chronic inflammation or colon pain, the blueberry will serve as an antibiotic, block the urinary tract bacteria, reduce toxins, and prevent infections. The cabbage has similar cleansing features along with anticancer properties to help you enjoy a healthy colon most of your days.

Many people don’t know anything about starch, and most people don’t use it for anything except making pudding. It usually sits there in the corner of your kitchen cabinet until it reaches its expiration date and be tossed away. However, starch does have plenty of amazing uses for cooking, cleaning, house maintenance, and even for hair care. I will share with you some of the greatest uses of starch:

1- You can remove oily stains from delicate fabrics and materials such as leather and silk. Instead of trying to rub the stain clean and ruining the fabric in the process, cover the stain with a little bit of starch from both sides and leave it for a bit until it absorbs the oil and rub it off afterwards. The same trick works on stains on carpets and rugs.

2- Starch can make your silverware as shiny as they were the day you bought it. Just rub the silverware with a solution of water and starch.

3- Old houses have their own charm and elegance. It is a shame though that this feeling of elegance is interrupted by the sound of the squeaky wooden floors. Try this trick to get rid of the noise: empty a package of starch on the floor and sweep it from one end of the floor to the other. The starch will find its way between the creaks and the floor won’t make any more noises.

4- Starch absorbs smells as well. To get rid of the stench in your shoes and the stuffy smell in your wardrobe, put a little bit of starch in a pouch you can make out of old pantyhose.

5- Starch is a wonderful dry shampoo as well. If you are pressed for time or have any other reason for which you cannot wash your hair, sprinkle starch over your hair and rub a little of it on your scalp. It will absorb all the sebum, the oil and the dirt. Comb your hair well afterwards.

One of the easiest ways to improve your heath from every aspect is keeping your body hydrated. You need to drink half your body weight in ounces of water at least on a daily basis. In spite of that, some researchers discovered that almost half the people of the world suffer from dehydration. When your water intake is low, it will trigger negative effects in your brain, body temperature, digestion, stamina, mood, performance, and overall health. See the tips below to learn how to rehydrate your body easily.

Start your day by drinking water the moment you wake upFirst thing in the morning drink a glass of water before drinking a cup of tea or juice, and even before your breakfast. Drinking water to help you get fluids you lost when you were sleeping. Moreover, drinking a glass of water at the start of the day doesn’t just rehydrate you, but detoxifies your body as well.
Check the color of your urine.

This way is the easiest way to know about your hydration status. Check the color of your urine when you are in the bathroom. The darker it is the more water you need. Drink water from time to time and make sure your urine color stays as clear as possible.

Flavor up your water
By adding slices of fruit or boiling some herbs and spices, you can make drinking water much more fun and healthy. Add sliced fruits like orange, lemon, mango, lime, watermelon, kiwi, pineapples, berries, grapes, and cantaloupe. Try mixing things up a bit by adding lemon and sliced ginger root, cucumbers with thyme, and lemon with peppermint leaves. This way, not only are you rehydrating yourself in a new manner, but detoxifying your body as well.

Take Water With You at All Times.
Bring a one liter bottle full of water with you at all times. Take a bottle as your personal hydration needs. If you weigh 120 pounds, you need to refill your water bottle and drink it thrice every day. Those who applied the “water bottle” method witnessed great improvement in their health, skin color and even the state of their hair.

Include more fruits and vegetables in your diet
Fruits and vegetables are the richest in water food items. They hydrate you naturally and effectively. Moreover, including them in your meals doesn’t disturb your digestion like drinking water does.
