Hepatitis c is a disease that affects the liver causing it to be inflamed .its extremely serious however so many people do not notice the symptoms or signs .read the article below to learn more about this disease.
There are two kinds of this disease the first one is called acute hepatitis C and the other one is chronic hepatitis C.

If a person is suffering from acute hepatitis C, he will only experience the symptoms for a shorter time like for example six months . the other type which is the chronic one can be for as long as a person lives ,this is due to the severity of the virus as it gets too hard to be cured . According to the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), almost 80 percent of patients suffering from acute hepatitis C will not notice or feel any symptoms.

The symptoms aren’t clear or obvious but they can show as a poor appetite, fatigue or fever . There are other symptoms of chronic hepatitis C that are very common they include the following ; joint pain ,problems concentrating ,depression or anxiety , itchy skin and abdominal pain

A doctor should prescribe some medicines to help with the liver inflammation to avoid the damage. blood tests should be done regularly to monitor the stage of the disease too .How to prevent infection? to avoid hepatitis c you must protect yourself from any infections . These infections can occur during sex, tattoos or piercings .avoid any exposure to unsterilized needles.

The main target of treatment is to get rid of the virus in the body , people will often be cured if the symptoms respond to medications and do not appear again in six months .
The medications that enhances the patient’s immune system are often prescribed to help the body fight the infection, the cure rate increase from less than 5% in the 1980s to 50% by the early 2000s.

In 2011, the FDA approved two new drugs: boceprevir (Victrelis) and telaprevir (Incivek). These proved great results in minimizing the spreading of the virus in the body
But medications sometimes have side effects, like fever, anxiety, and insomnia. In order to start monitoring the progress and the effect of these medications a patient must wait for almost forty eight weeks before doing any tests.
