Cracked nails are frustrating problem that a lot of people suffer from. Women and the elderly are particularly prone to this condition. Do it as often as possible and also apply the moisturizer before bed. Choose a good moisturizer that includes protein like keratin and collagen; occlusives such as petrolatum, mineral oil or lanolin; and humectants like urea or lactic acid. Such ingredients will strengthen your nails and prevent dryness.

3. Wear Gloves: If you are often exposed to chemicals or of your hands are regularly wet, it is advisable to wear gloves. You can go for plastic or latex gloves, but if plastic gloves are uncomfortable for you can choose rubber gloves with a cotton lining.

4. Cut Down the Remover: Using nail polish remover more than every two weeks can cause brittle nails. If you are fascinated with nail polish and you can’t limit your using of polish remover, choose the nail polish remover that is acetone-free.

5. Avoid Chemicals: As we mentioned above cleaning products or some dishwashing liquids can dry and brittle your nails. Thus, you need to wash your dishes with less harsh products and limit your exposur
