1. How to remove Nail Polish from Clothes:

– First, check if the fabric contains acetate, triacetate or modacrylic. If it does, then don’t try the following steps as the acetone can deteriorate the fabric.
– If the stain is fresh, gently remove as much excess nail polish as possible. Don’t rub, but gently dab the nail polish stain with a clean white cloth.
– If the fabric is washable, gently apply a small amount of nail polish remover to the stain with a clean sponge or white cloth.
– Carefully dab in a blotting motion to prevent the nail polish from embedding itself deeper. Work from the outside in, continually moving to a clean area of the towel underneath as it absorbs the stain.
– The nail polish from the fabric will start transferring into the towel.
– Repeat until the stain is no longer transferring. Rinse the fabric in cool water, and machine wash as usual.

2. How to remove nail polish from upholstery

-First, mix one tablespoon of liquid dish soap with two cups of cool water.
– Using a clean white cloth, sponge the stain with the detergent solution.
– Blot until the liquid is absorbed. Repeat these steps until the stain disappears. Then, sponge with cool water and blot dry. If the stain remains, contact a cleaning professional as soon as possible.

3. How to remove nail polish from the carpet

– Pre-test the non-acetone nail polish remover in an inconspicuous place by applying several drops of it with a cotton swab to the predominate colors of the fabric. Allow it to sit on this area for 30 minutes to an hour. If the color transfers to the cotton or a color change occurs, then a professional cleaner should be considered.
– If the fabric is color-safe, apply several drops of non-acetone based nail polish remover with a cotton swab and, working from the outer edge toward the center, gently agitate to remove nail polish. 3. Baking Soda: To remove built-up tarnish from your silver, make a thick paste with 1/4 cup baking soda and 2 tablespoons water. Apply with a damp sponge and gently rub, rinse, and buff dry. To polish gold jewelry, cover with a light coating of baking soda, pour a bit of vinegar over it and rinse clean. Remember not to use this technique with jewelry containing pearls or gemstones, as it could damage their finish or loosen any glue.

4. Ketchup: ketchup can be very effective in shining tarnished silver. If your ring, bracelet, or earring has a smooth surface, dunk it in a small bowl of ketchup for a few minutes. Ink stains from pens and markers can be one of the most annoying and stubborn stains. They can be very challenging to be removed because a standard washing machine cycle cannot deal with them. Ink stains do need special attention, but removing them is not an impossible task. The first step in removing an ink stain is to identify the type of material or surface that is stained. Then use the following tips for optimal ink stain removal.

1. Salt: Pour salt on an ink stain that’s still wet, gently dab with a wet paper towel, and then remove and brush off the salt. Repeat until the stain has completely lifted

2. Nail Polish Remover: Try saturating the stain with nail polish remover. Only use this on hardwearing fabrics, and remember to test a small area of fabric first. Take a cotton ball and wipe the affected areas with the solution. Once the ink stains are gone, wash skin with soap and water. Nail polish remover can also eliminate ink stains on the drum of your clothes dryer.

3. Alcohol: Grab a clean white towel and put the stained item on top. Test any solution on a hidden seam of the fabric. After testing, blot the stained area with rubbing alcohol. The towel underneath may become wet and discolored from the ink leaching out. Drop silverware in the pot for 10 seconds (longer if it’s very tarnished), then remove using kitchen tongs. EDS is a case in which you want to take many naps and sleep during the day even if you sleep regularly at night. 1- Sleep enough at night. The number of hours you need to be having enough sleep differs from one person to another. 4- Also, make a habit of going to bed at the same day every day. Actually applying treatment number 3 won’t be easy without doing this. Setting a system for your body will be easier this way. Cuts and grazes are minor wounds that happen when the very first layer of the skin get a scrape or a cut. Cuts and grazes happen to each and every one of us, men or women, young or old.

And although they are minor, they need to be treated immediately or they could get seriously infected. However, what to do if you do not happen to have a disinfectant at hand? You can first wash the grazed area well and then you can try some of the following treatments which you can find right in your pantry:

1- Honey. It is nature’s antibiotic. It also fights bacteria and viruses. Just rub the scraped area lightly with some honey and then bandage it. Or you can even leave it as it is if the cut isn’t somewhere that can be rubbed off by your clothes. Few hours after that, wash the scraped area and reapply the treatment. Believe me it won’t take as much as manufactured antibiotics do.

2- Garlic. Garlic is the second most powerful natural antibacterial and antifungal treatment. It cures, not only cuts and scrapes, but other skin problems like zits and acne as well, and in no time to boot. Once you get a scratch or have a cut, crush a few cloves of garlic, and put them on the cut and wrap with a bandage and leave it on for 15 minutes before removing the bandage and the garlic and washing the place off. You won’t believe your eyes at the results.

3- Aloe Vera. Not only does aloe Vera have antiviral and
antibacterial properties, but it has anti-inflammatory properties as well. Using aloe vera for treating cuts and grazes is easy. Just get a leaf of aloe vera plant, remove its skin and apply it to the cut.

4- Tea tree oil. Tea tree oil is a well-known antimicrobial agent. Many brand name companies include it in the making of their makeup cleansing solutions and cosmetics. To treat cuts and grazes with tea tree oil, all you need to do is to dilute a little bit of tea tree oil in a cup of water and wet a clean cloth with it, and use it to pat the infected area.

As human beings, we tend to feel tired from time to time. 1- Do not ever EVER skip breakfast. Breakfast is the meal that provides your brain with nutrients it direly needs for functioning. So, skipping it is a sure way of draining yourself of energy and forcing your brain to signal your body to feel tired. If you are, for example, pregnant and the thought of eating anything turns your stomach upside down, start with something light, such as milk, yogurt or fruits.

2- Wakeup once the alarm rings and give up snoozing. A snooze button doesn’t exactly let you sleep, as you cannot possibly sleep for 10 minutes. Moreover, you are developing by this a habit of being sluggish and resisting waking up. Wakeup once the alarm rings, and hit the cold shower.

3- Lighten up on the spirits. Alcohol is rich in neurotoxins and its effect on your body is never temporary. By alcohol consumption, you are slowly poisoning your mind and liver making them function less effectively and depleting your energy in the process. Moreover, alcohol has a severe dehydrating effect which is another reason why you will feel tired the time after drinking.

4- Make your meals smaller and less often. I have noticed this myself. When I have something light at work such as a cup of Greek yogurt, I do not return home as fatigued as when I grab a burger. Naturally, I would feel hungry a couple of hours after, so what? I could have another small meal that won’t tire me out.

5- Rehydrate often. It is very possible that the reason why you feel tired is that your daily water intake is low and you are rehydrating and feeling sluggish as a result. Let me say it this way, if you are suffering from any health problem no matter how slight it is, the resulting pain will double.
