When a questionnaire was conducted asking people what they thought are the greatest inventions of humanity, most of them included aspirin in their answers. Why not when it can cure you of many ailments such as headaches, pains, fevers…etc? However, the beneficial uses of aspirin are not limited to treating ailments. Here are some of the greatest uses of aspirin that aren’t related to treating headaches:
- Dandruff is an annoyingly embarrassing problem even if it means that your scalp is regenerating its cells quickly. Also, I find anti-dandruff shampoos overpriced. Why do you need to buy antidandruff treatments when all you need to do is ground two pills of aspirin to your regular shampoo and your head will be dandruff-free within two weeks?
- Keep a bottle of aspiring in the glove compartment of your car. Why? Because you might need to use this trick one day: When your car’s battery completely runs out of juice, don’t give up just yet. Ground a few pills of aspirin and put two in each battery cell to get enough juice to get you where you could fix your car.
- I have heard that women with blonde tinted hair who need to work in the sun for a long time complain about their hair color. They say that the sun makes their hair color turn paler. If you are one of these women, you can use another one of the amazing powers of aspirin. Just add a few pills of aspirin to a glass of water and use it as a hair mask before washing it off after 15 minutes. You will get your hair’s original color and shine after repeating this treatment for a few days.
- Does your gym clothes get disgusting yellow stains in the armpits after working out? Wet the stain area with some water and then rub it with an aspirin pill and let it set for a few minutes before washing it with soap and water like usual. The stain will be gone.
- Aspirin can also be pretty handy in treating acne and pimples. All you need to do is ground a pill of aspirin, add a few drops of water to make a paste and then apply it to the pimple and red spots.
- Nothing can ruin a summer outing more than bug bites. Relieve the pain, the redness and the itchiness of bug bites by covering them with a paste made of water and a few ground aspirin pills.
