Continuing the list of things you should throw out of your house to make you house more organized and at the same time create new room for new things here are more things you should consider to get rid off.
6- Old Spices.
We seem to buy a bag of spices to make one recipe and keep that rest of the spice mix in the back of our kitchen cabinets for months if not years. Check the expiry date on the containers, most spices expire in 12 months, more for whole spices like cardamom and clove and less for finely ground spices. Toss the spices and wash the glass containers for reuse.
Any unopened beauty products you have even if the date shows they are slightly expired and you want to get rid of, donate them for women’s shelter. But makeup products that you used probably the container is nearly empty, expired or you don’t think you will ever use again, remove the product from the container and toss the container for recycling.
Keep in mind while going throw your makeup products that eye makeup should replace every few months while face makeup and lipsticks should replace every 12 months.
8- Unneeded Undergarments.
Undergarments should always be renewed and especially bras which should last only 8 months of use. Bras with good shape can be donated while torn worn bras can be recycled, a textile recycling company says that despite the fact that 95% of used and torn textiles can be recycles only 15% actually get recycles. So do mother earth a favor and sign up with a textile recycling company to recycle your old undergarments.
9- Old Appliances.
When you are upgrading your kitchen, getting rid of old appliances will empty the room for new ones to take place. If the appliances are still good and working donate them for Charity but if they are broken or not working, companies like Best Buy can dispose your old appliances in an environmental friendly way.
10- Books You Don’t Need.
Books that you have read and taking up a big space of your house can be donated yo local schools, libraries, hospitals or book shops. You can even sell them for a cheap price online or give them up for free, especially children books can be reused or sold as second hand if they are in a good condition. Some websites like Amazon can resell slightly used books for you.
