I have told you before that I had started gathering clippings about cleaning from everywhere, magazines, online sites and my mom’s, relatives’ and friends’ own clippings. The tips I listed last time were so popular with the readers that I felt like sharing more of them. Here are more cleaning tips to clean anything you could think of.
- Do spiders and other weird bugs make cozy homes out of your shoes and boots? Stop that by covering the top of your shoes and boots with old socks or plastic bags. Socks with the elastic fabric are a better choice though since they will not leave gaps through which spiders can sneak into your shoes.
- Do your car windows gather frost and ice in the chilly season? Vinegar is your answer. Just mix 3:1 parts of vinegar and water in a spray bottle and spray your cars’ windows with it. No frost will stick to it the day after.
- Want to enjoy the sight of fresh flowers in your house, but you fear that their pollen will give you allergy? Use the sticky side of a tape to gather the pollen and have pollen-free flowers.
- Bits of soap always stick to soap trays and you always scrub them off when you clean your bathroom to get rid of their lousy sight. You can, however, make a great homemade liquid soap by mixing them in a bottle with some glycerin and water.
- Some people say that to get rid of small not so visible pieces of glass on your floor, you need to press the place where the glass shards are with a piece of bread, but I think that this is a waste of food. Instead, Wet a few pieces of cloth and spread them on the shards, then push them with a squeegee against the walls until they are out of the way.
