The heart is able to pump blood at this week and your doctor can hear its beats throughout the scan. In addition to such exciting changes, the primitive lungs, liver, pancreas, and thyroid will be formed, but they will function later.
On the outer part, the buds start to grow on the arms and legs of your baby and the signs of small details such as his\her mouth, nose and eyes will begin to appear at such a fifth week. When you see your baby on the scan, you will notice his C shape with a small tail attached to the embryo.
