All that you have to do is mix one tablespoon of honey and the juice of half a lemon with a cup of cooked oatmeal. Rub this against the affected area and let it sit for 30 minutes before rinsing off. 3. Honey: A good way to fight bacterial infections on the skin is with honey. To use honey for acne you need to add 3 tablespoons of plain oatmeal in a ½ cup of water. Simmer for a few minutes until oatmeal is cooked. Add 2 tablespoons of honey and remove from heat. Let it cool. Add a little more water if the mixture gets too dry. Spread a thick layer of the mixture on affected areas of the body. Rinse off with warm water.
