Gluten-free Products are designed for a group of people that are sensitive to gluten and not necessarily a healthier option of food. This sweetener is taken as organic and natural, but indeed natural agave nectar is something basically unheard of. The bottled that you find on markets shelves are loaded with chemically man-made syrups that contain more sugar than high fructose corn syrup.
The thing is, once it is promoted to as something healthy, people take it as it is calorie-free and start using it on everything they eat. Indeed one teaspoon of agave nectar contain 45 calories.
