Losing weight…the everlasting dilemma of the modern human being. It is why many companies are standing right now, and it is why many people are suffering, and also why an industry worth billions of dollars is now flourishing.
When we don’t lose weight, the most prominent reason for that is that we receive enough calories that our bodies don’t feel the need to burn the storage of fat they already have. However, many people find that not to be the case. However, the reason for that are things you might have not been aware of before.
1- Eating with your hands. It is easy to finish your plate very quickly or grab a big portion of food if you are eating with your hands. People who use utensils and use tongs to get their portions were found to eat much less food.
2- The beverages you drink alone are enough to give you your daily need of calories. Yikes! This might be a scary fact but it is a fact nonetheless. A moderate cup of cappuccino can give you up to 300 calories. Soft drinks give you even more. The result? You get fat, but you are not even eating. If you need to drink anything make it water, sugarless green tea, milk and buttermilk.
3- You think froyos are healthy. You think, what is better than a healthy yogurt snack to make your day better? But Froyos are not healthy. They are loaded with fat, sugar, additives and preservatives. All of which makes your battle with your weight even more difficult.
4- The media is making you eat more. You watch TV or use internet too much. The news and the sports you watch with food commercials intervening them gradually gives you the habit of binge eating.
5- You apply tactics like happy hour or free day. Many dieters tell themselves this lie, “I have to have an hour or a day when I could eat what I want in the quantity I want. This policy is flawed for a number of reasons: one, your stomach has a definite size so you won’t be able to eat what or the portions you want. Second, you don’t enjoy the food or the pressure. Third, you end up consuming double the calories you have lost throughout the week.
