The second and following layer is the Dermis ; it’s the deepest inner layer which is responsible for providing the skin, its strength, and elasticity. This is because of the fibers of the collagen and elastin. The thickness also varies according to different body parts and organs .one of its most important jobs is to regulate the body temperature.the way the dermis protects our skin is amazing.

it differs when the temperature is cold and when its hot When the body is exposed to heat, blood vessels increase the blood flow to the skin, helping the heat to escape. On the other hand, when it is cold, the blood flow is restricted in order to prevent the heat from escaping. It works by receiving Signals which are transmitted to the brain when we touch objects or things surrounding us .

the last one is the Subcutaneous Tissue ; it’s the most different and unique one of all the skin layers, the subcutaneous tissue its known to be the thickest layer that lies below the epidermis. It is also known as the hypodermis. The main function of this layer is to store fat and reserve fuel. The main components of this layer are larger blood vessels and nerves, the hypodermis also serves as an insulator, and provides cushioning against knocks and falls.
